A Dreamy Couple Photoshoot in Valletta
When Olivia and Jaelen reached out while on vacation in Malta, I could instantly tell this would be something special. Young, stylish, and glowing with the kind of energy that makes photography effortless — they looked like they stepped out of a fashion editorial.
And so our 80-minute couple photoshoot in Valletta began: a sunset-to-night exploration through warm limestone, glowing streetlights, and cinematic backdrops.
Stop 1: Velvet Sunset at Upper Barrakka Gardens
We began at the iconic Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta, where the sky offered soft, velvety tones as the sun dipped behind the harbour. With its grand views and peaceful atmosphere, it was the perfect place to ease into the shoot — natural, romantic, effortlessly beautiful.
Stop 2: Traditional Maltese Balconies on St. Ursula Street
From there, we strolled down St. Ursula Street, one of Valletta’s most charming corners. The traditional Maltese balconies, aged doors, and quiet alleys gave us layers of color and character — classic Malta, captured in every frame.
As the lights flicked on and the streets glowed with golden warmth, the mood shifted into something dreamier, even more intimate.
Stop 3: Bridge Bar Area – Red Balconies, British Charm
Our next location was the Bridge Bar area in Valletta, Malta, where deep red balconies and a vintage red telephone booth created a perfect match for the couple’s bold yet elegant outfits. It felt a little like London-meets-Mediterranean — but through a romantic lens.
Stop 4: Night Lights on Old Mint Street & Basilica Views
As twilight took over, we moved toward Old Mint Street, capturing an iconic scene with the glowing dome of the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, one of Valletta’s most recognisable landmarks. With the warm street lights and deep blues of night settling in, the mood was cinematic and quiet — a love story in Malta’s capital.
Final Stop: Valletta Viewpoint at Giannini Restaurant
Our final stop was near the Giannini Restaurant viewpoint, overlooking the glowing rooftops of Valletta. By then, the sky was dark, the city alive with light, and Olivia and Jaelen were radiant. Their connection was undeniable — and it truly shone through in the night.
